Before installing the new gearbox, take the time to understand why the old one failed: clutch wear, lack of oil, seal leak, poorly adjusted linkage, excessive vibrations.

Remove the transport plugs before installation.

Tighten the fasteners to the torque values recommended by the manufacturer.
Always replace oil seals and the clutch release bearing.
Use transmission oil that meets the manufacturer’s specifications.

If any bolts or screws are single-use, install new ones.
Take advantage of the replacement to install a new clutch kit (disc, pressure plate, release bearing).
